Jim went to pay for three more days of camping
here at the National Park. He needed to
be down at the pay station by 10:00 am or new people coming in could pay for
our spot. He got down there 10 minutes
early and found out we were in the Central Time Zone now and he was an hour
early. We set all of our watches and
clocks and he had to go back an hour later.
We went to the post office to mail a couple of
items and then we drove to Michigan City, Indiana to the Shoreline Brewery and
had a beer. After that we drove to the
Backroad Brewery in La Porte, Indiana and then to Figure 8 Brewery in
Valparaiso, Indiana.
It was 51 degrees when we woke up this morning
and it reached 74 degrees today. It was
beautiful and sunny. We found one geocache on the Valparaiso University
campus. Jim grilled tonight and I
bought Bush’s Baked Beans, some potato salad and made some deviled eggs. We had another fresh ripe tomato from the
garden at the fairgrounds. We only have
two left. I’ll be sad when they are
eaten -- they have been so tasty.
