After breakfast, Jim went inside the casino and played the penny slots again.  At one time he was up by 2 cents, but he lost it all.  He has lost $5 total.  The casino is letting us spend the night again tonight.

We went to look for geocaches and found two.  After that we went to town.  We got there at 11:45 and saw lots of chairs lining the curb on Main Street. We got a parking place and took our chairs out of the truck.  We found a spot and put our chairs out on Main Street to watch the parade.  I asked a lady when the parade started and she said 2 pm.  We had 2 hours to wait so we walked through the shops and bought some Indian hand harvested wild rice to cook.  We went for french fries and a beer at the American Legion and they were all getting ready to ride in the parade.

We went back to our chairs about 1:30 and Jim got an ice cream cone and I got iced coffee.  It was hot and sunny until the parade started and then it got cloudy and nice.  The parade was really good for such a small town.  It lasted 45 minutes and had lots of floats.  The children really had a good time catching candy, Frisbees, small balls and such.  Just as the parade was over, Allen called us about our mail and we sat in the truck to go over it with him.

After that was taken care of, we went back to the Casita and had chopped chicken BBQ, sliced sausage, potato salad, beans, onions, pickles, and watermelon.  We sat outside and read our books because it had gotten much cooker (73 degrees).  The skies got dark and there was wind and lightening.  We rolled in the awning and it started to rain -- there was even some small hail.  It cleared up and the sun came out.

We went to see fireworks at 8 pm.  After we got there it started to rain again and Jim and I went to the truck for about 30 minutes.  Then we went back to the park and the fireworks didn’t start until 10:15 -- that’s when it finally got dark enough.  They lasted until 10:45.  It was a really nice display for such a small town. Then we returned to the Casita and Jim updated the blog.  We didn’t go to bed until 12:30.

We forgot to tell y'all that we passed the Scamp factory on Sunday just about 20 miles out of Walker.  It looked like they had about 40 trailers in their lot.
