We were awakened by thundering this morning at
4:00 am. Jim and I had to get the
clothes that were hanging on the line outside before they got wet. It didn’t rain and when we got up we rehung
them outside. I fixed steak and egg
wraps for breakfast and we sat outside in our chairs. While drinking our coffee sitting in our chairs a lady came up
and asked us if we were leaving. We
told her no and that we would be here for another couple of days. She thought we were leaving because we
didn’t have anything outside like tarps, tents, cooking gear, pop up shades,
bicycles, etc. All the other campers
have so much stuff outside that it looks like a permanent refugee camp.
Around noon we went to the beach and got into the
water. We took our books to read and
stayed until about 3 pm. We went back
to the Casita and sat outside for a while.
Then we went into Ludington to Jamesport Brewing. We had a beer and I talked to a man with a
Ginger Man – Austin tee shirt on. He
was the brewer. He told us to come by
tomorrow and he would give us a tour of the brewery.
Ludington was having a Friday Night Live and had
a few of the blocks cordoned off. They
had similar booths that Traverse City had the Friday night we went downtown to
theirs. We walked around and listened
to some of the music and had a slice of pizza.
Then Jim drove around until we found the light station and took a
picture. This town has a Wal Mart and
we went to buy a couple of items. We
bought two tubes to use in the water. I
cooked spaghetti and then went to see the sunset.
