We wanted to stay another night in the national forest so we had to move to another site this morning.  The one we were in was reserved for the next two days.  We got a nice site with a trail and steps to the lake.  The mosquitoes are really bad, we have to use Deep Woods Off.  We didn’t have this many mosquitoes in Alaska.  This has been a really buggy trip, what with the mayflies, ticks, little black flying bugs, and mosquitoes.

After moving, we drove to the International Wolf Center in Ely.  This is a leading organization in the education of the public about wolves.  They have volunteers come from all over the world to help out here. They have two pups they are trying to integrate into the pack.  They only add pups to the pack every four years.  The pups need to be about 50 pounds before they put them in the enclosure with the adults.  They expect to add them to the main enclosure on July 30th.  They let them get used to each other through the fence.

After watching movies at the center and looking at the wolves, we left and had burgers and blizzards at Dairy Queen.  Then we looked for more geocaches.  We found 6 today, two of them had trackables.  One was a geocoin from St. Paul, Minnesota and the other one was Brady the Bear.  This one is supposed to be taken to places with bears.   We stopped at the VFW for a beer and then got gas for the Silverado and went back to camp.  We will leave tomorrow and head out for Grand Portage.
